We rang and enquiring about getting new sponges for couch and chair, Taz explained they could do them just put the covers in the post, we will do the sponge for you and deliver them as he didn’t like to use a courier! "After trawling around all of the mainstream furniture shops and being met by a wall of grey, we decided to visit "The Designer Sofa" in the hopes of being able to have something individual made to suit our own taste. Taz was extremely helpful from our first visit, very knowledgeable and he went the extra mile to make sure the finished sofas were exactly what we wanted. Included in our brief was that we wanted something light coloured and elegant but that would stand up to wear and tear from our 2 year old grandson and any more we may have in the future! Taz assured us that the fabric we had chosen with his help would be very durable and easy to clean. This was borne out on our grandsons first visit after we had taken delivery of the sofas. The squashed blueberries on the seat and arms came off with just a wipe of soapy water just as Taz had said. When we restore your furniture we will only use the same parts as we use in our new furniture, that is why the quality is so high and you will be so happy. When we have finished your work we don't throw it back into your lounge like some companies and then disappear. If you are having new or reupholstery from The Designer Sofa we always invite you to the factory to inspect the quality and make sure you are happy with the work before it leaves the factory and you pay your balance. "The service from Taz and his team was spot on from the start. Professional,and engaging , their customer services is exemplary ensuring they met all of our customer needs . We had a multi York sofa and chair that we wished to have duplicated for our cottage. Not being able to fully replicate our sofa and chair as the material of our original items was no longer available and we needed one of the sofas to be made in slightly smaller dimensionsIan spent a good hour with us going through the detail and choosing the right material for the final items over a cup of tea. Once decided, we made arrangements to get our original sofa and chair to Taz and the team so they could Build the additional items with an expectation of completion in 6-8 weeks. This expectation was honoured with an invite to visit the shop to see the finished products . In the interim of the viewing and collection, Taz kept contact regarding the final touches re finials, legs etc,. When we arrived to see the finished sofas and chairs , we were not disappointed .The sofas looked proportionate despite one being slightly smaller as asked and it was not possible to tell which chair was the original and which the duplicated chair. The finish on sofas and chairs was top class and all items were supportive and comfortable . Now back in the cottage the sofas anc chairs fit perfectly, in size and design. Made with quality materials and attention to detail we look forward to enjoying them for many years"
