Comment We are so glad that we stumbled across this amazing company. From the outset Taz was a mine of information, and his pride in his workmanship was evident. We drove a considerable distance to visit him, discuss our needs and choose fillings and coverings. Our two sofas were collected from our home, stripped down to the frame and springs, and then rebuilt and delivered back to us. Once we paid the deposit the price was fixed and honoured, despite the passage of several months. We are thrilled with the result and the service. Comment I would highly recommend this company. We have just taken receipt of a new armchair and two sofas, built to our exact specification. The items were expensive, but you get what you pay for and the quality is evident both visually and when you sit on the chairs. We are delighted. The items were produced and delivered within the agreed timescale The whole experience was very positive and the delivery service was brilliant. A two man team removed and replaced our front door and lounge door to ensure nothing was damaged. They were extremely efficient, courteous and tidy and were more than happy to move furniture around in our longe until we were happy. No packaging was left behind. The website probably does not do the company justice and I would encourage people to visit the showroom and have a look around. If it were even possible to get our Bespoke quality and service in the high street, it would cost more than we are asking for our furniture. Comment Excellent personal service from initial contact to delivery. It was great to meet the young man who was going to make our sofas. We wanted replicas of two well loved sofas. Taz and his team made a superb job and were able to deliver well before the initial delivery date. You get what you pay for as not the cheapest but definitely worth the money - they even made 4 small cushions at no extra charge. Comment To the Designer sofa in Long eaton. All the team have been absolutely fantastic,and l would award more stars if there was any. We were left in the lurch by a Furniture store in giltbrook having delivered faulty and damaged goods,leaving us with nothing to sit on.Along came Taz and the team and offered us a chair and settee to sit on until our new one was made by the brilliant team. Comment We had two chairs made, the design and fabric being based upon both our own ideas and on advice from Taz. Both chairs are phenomenal with a very high quality finish and they have pride of place in our lounge. Taz and the team also re covered a much loved Parker Knoll chair taking it back to the bare would frame. It is now better than when originally purchased. Comment The whole process was a joy, from my first visit to The Designer Sofa to taking delivery of my sofa and stool. Taz made me very welcome & I spent hours in the showroom on several occasions trying all the sofas. I could wander round on my own if I wanted but there was always expert advice and guidance if I needed it. I then spent further hours choosing fabric & again was made really welcome to stay as long as I wanted and visit as often as I wanted. I tried to imagine how the sofa would look when it was finished but when I finally saw it I realised I had totally underestimated how fantastic it would be. I am absolutely thrilled and delighted with it. The quality of the workmanship is second to none; all the staff take great care in what they do; Taz knows exactly where all the materials are sourced and only uses the best. When my furniture was delivered yesterday the gentlemen who brought it had made the frames; they didn't just dump it in my house - they were clearly and justifiably proud of their work and took time setting it up correctly, even explaining to me which way round the cushions should go so the fabric would work to the best advantage. I recommend The Designed Sofa unreservedly to anyone wanting a really top-class product and outstanding service. Comment We had searched extensively but unsuccessfully for two sofas, one with a specific width Luckily we discovered the Designer Sofa Company. The journey to Long Eaton was well worth our time. Taz was brilliant. He completely understood what we were looking for and being bespoke, could make one sofa to our specified width requirement. His expert advice and eye for colour was excellent. With a choice of designs and extensive fabric choices to suit all tastes and budgets, Taz guided us through and we ordered two sofas and some scatter cushions. When the sofas were almost finished Taz contacted us and again and we travelled to Long Eaton. We asked for the seat depth to be reduced and two weeks later, took delivery of our new furniture. Since delivery, Taz has agreed to make more cushions for us. To say we are pleased is an understatement. We cannot praise Taz and his team highly enough. Taz was so patient and very easy to deal with. We really feel we have made a friend. Our sofas are exactly what we wanted and they have been made to an exceptionally high standard. Comment We just couldn't find the sofa design we were looking for and then we came across 'The Designer Sofa' at Long Eaton. We cannot speak highly enough of Zak and Taz who were so helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We are delighted with our new sofa and footstool, they are so comfortable and fit in perfectly with our lounge décor. Steve did a wonderful job, the workmanship is excellent. What a skilled craftsman to have in the team! The delivery men were very careful, efficient and polite. We would definitely recommend this family-run business to friends and family. Comment After trawling around all of the mainstream furniture shops and being met by a wall of grey, we decided to visit "The Designer Sofa" in the hopes of being able to have something individual made to suit our own taste. Taz was extremely helpful from our first visit, very knowledgeable and he went the extra mile to make sure the finished sofas were exactly what we wanted. Included in our brief was that we wanted something light coloured and elegant but that would stand up to wear and tear from our 2 year old grandson and any more we may have in the future! Taz assured us that the fabric we had chosen with his help would be very durable and easy to clean. This was borne out on our grandsons first visit after we had taken delivery of the sofas. The squashed blueberries on the seat and arms came off with just a wipe of soapy water just as Taz had said. Being able to have this made to our sizes in our choice of fabric whilst having the benefit of your experience in designing what we wanted - perfect.
